Public Liability Insurance

Protect your business against claims resulting from accidents or property damage, that occur during your work activities. It’s a must have insurance cover for all businesses and our team can find the best policy for you.

What is Public Liability Insurance?

When operating a business, the last thing you want to worry about is a costly claim that could destroy your livelihood.

Although unexpected, these incidents do happen. It could be a customer tripping up on loose flooring, or a plumbing mistake that causes water damage. If the worst happens and you don’t have adequate insurance cover, then your business will be up a certain creek without a paddle!

Public Liability Insurance provides you and your business against claims of injury or property damage sustained by members of the public (customers, suppliers or just passers-by) during contact with your business.

Do I need Public Liability Insurance?

Public Liability Insurance is a necessity for all businesses due to their interaction with members of the public. If you have premises which people visit or if you host a public event that people attend, this insurance is required. It is also essential when manufacturing or selling any product to members of the public.

Even if you work from home or visit other peoples’ houses as part of your job, it is better to be cautious and have the protection of full Public Liability Insurance.

No matter how hard you try, it is impossible to foresee and prevent every instance of injury, damage or product defect that may arise. Even small Public Liability claims can run into thousands of dollars; it's simply not worth the risk of ignoring this necessary insurance cover.
